Hiking information Achensee...
The highest mountain peak in the Achensee region rises to 2.457 meters vacation.
There are about 450 km of marked hiking paths and routes, Which stretches over the entire. The Karwendel Mountains, which frames the lake in the west, is the largest protected nature reserve in Europe. The Rofan attaches itself Mountains in the east with a beautiful landscape surrounded by stony mountains. On the motor vehicle-free West Bank, these idyllic hiking routes lead to the most popular rest station named "Gaisalm.
Around the Achensee, so one can enjoy a boat trip. Timetables can be found at the hotel. Naturally, the Rofan cable car in Maurach and the Karwendel mountain railway are open daily during the summer months for avid hikers and the several mountain restaurants and huts cordially invite you to have a rest and take it easy!

There is a free hiker's bus for all visitors of the Achensee holiday region, running at hourly intervals between the villages of the region.

From Monday to Friday the Achensee region offers guided walks through the region's unique world of mountains to visitors. The hiking programme is free for visitors with the valid visitor's card. Further information is obtainable in our Tourist information offices as well as in the latest hiking programm booklet.

For a detailed picture of the hiking trails the Achensee region provides its own hiking and mountain bike map at a scale of 1:35000. This contains on the reverse an exact description of the hiking trails as well as information on the cabins and their opening times. Obtainable in all our Tourist information offices.
