Magic Winter at Lake “Achensee”

Snow-capped mountain peaks, five quaint villages and plenty of opportunities for outdoor pursuits. Ski tours are actually a quite special experience. The mountains overlooking Lake “Achensee” are an ideal terrain with innumerable routes in the ski area, on ungroomed slopes or on forest trails.

However, there are not only adrenaline rushes on bustling ski slopes. You can also enjoy peace and tranquillity taking a leisurely winter walk. The snow crunches under the walking boots at each step and the fresh winter air is filled with thousands of sparkling ice crystals. The snow creates a calm setting and creates a magic atmosphere. And whatever you do, you can always admire the beauty of the glittering white countryside.   It is hard to imagine a more beautiful way to explore the winter wonderland on the shores of Lake “Achensee”. In the fascinating scenery of the Tyrolean mountains, you find more than 150 kilometres of delightful winter walks to explore the magnificent countryside at a leisurely pace.

On the shore of Lake “Achensee”, there are four small but fine and incredibly charming ski areas with 53 kilometres of ski slopes.
