Once on foot across the Alps to Italy. It's an experience you'll never forget. On the way from Germany via Austria to South Tyrol, majestic mountain peaks, secluded valleys, rustic inns and medieval castles await. The seven-day Alpine crossing leads from Tegernsee on the Bavarian edge of the Alps first to Achensee, the largest lake in Tyrol. From there it continues into the Zillertal and to Sterzing, the northernmost city in Italy. The route promises a week of pleasure hiking - from traditional Bavarian culture to the proverbial Tyrolean hospitality to the famous South Tyrolean wine. The grandiose and varied landscape combined with culture, culinary delights and comfortable accommodation are in the foreground. Inns, guesthouses or hotels of all categories guarantee a restful sleep and the next days of the stage can be started well rested. The trip can be combined with bus, train, boat or cable car on some sections.
