The optimal topography with the lake shore, the Karwendel valleys and the mountains offers runners a lot of variety. The Achensee region is one of the most beautiful running destinations in the Alps due to the perfect conditions, the optimal infrastructure and top international events.
The Achensee Run is not called the "most beautiful panoramic run in Austria" for nothing. With a circumference of almost 23 kilometers, the Achensee is the largest lake in Tyrol. The tour offers wonderful views over Lake Achensee and the individual towns.

From the bathing beach in Buchau, the route initially leads along the lake, past the Dalfazer waterfall via the districts of Rofangarten and Neumaurach. The St. Notburga Promenadenweg takes you to the parish church in Eben. From there the path leads back to the starting point via fields and meadows.

From the toll station at the entrance to the Karwendel valleys, the tour initially leads along a forest path to the Pletzachalm. After crossing the creek bed, you walk along a steep gravel road in the direction of the Feilalm. At the fork in the path, you return to the starting point via a forest trail.
